Rhubarb Pie Fest Success
The Omro Area Community Center would like to thank everyone who helped make our annual Rhubarb Fest a huge success again this year. We had 12 community members donate rhubarb from their gardens to help us make pies. Students from the Omro High School Culinary Arts class helped us by cutting up all that rhubarb so it could be ready to use in pies. Red’s Piggly Wiggly donated the remaining ingridients including sugar, flour, oatmel, pie crust, and spices. We also had many volunteers and staff who helped to bake all those pies. All together we ended up selling 203 pies! This event is so important to us because it helps us to continue serving the community we love. Thanks to everyone who helped out, donated, or bought a pie!
