Volunteer Opportunities
Little Fox Literacy
The Community Center teamed up with the School District of Omro to promote literacy in our schools. So far, we have partnered with teachers at HB Patch Elementary and Omro Elementary schools. Teachers contact Bree via email to let her know: how many students they have who need this intervention and when in the teacher's schedule a volunteer could come in to read with the students. Volunteers are matched based on their availability to students in need of intervention. The amount of time you can volunteer is up to you. Some volunteers stop in for 15 minutes, others stay for an hour or more! Please contact Bree at 685-0380 or bree@omrocommunity.org if you're interested in learning more about this opportunity. |
ADVOCAP Mealsite Volunteer Volunteers over age 55 will be enrolled in the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program. Volunteers typically serve as host/hostess, sign in participants and take reservations, answer the phone, set tables, serve food, clear tables, wash dishes, and maintain the cleanliness of the meal site. Meal Site volunteers generally serve between 9:00am and 12:30pm Monday through Friday. Shifts are flexible and volunteers are able to choose how many days they would like to serve. For more information about volunteering please call 920-426-0150. |
